Analogical Thinking

A computer remind me of a book. Where u get information and knowledge. Just that computer is more advance and fast and just by searching what you want, you will get it in an instant. Book wiill take sometime as you have to travel and borrow the book. Additionally if you borrow a book you cant keep it for long like computer does unless you buy the book.

A file is just like a memory card. File is to store and paperwork or hard copy, while a memory card ou can store as much file as u can depending on how big is your gigabyte or megabytes. You can stored all your document from the computer. Its become more handy and convenient.

Computer mouse is just like mouse to me. Small , light and fast.

A tree is just like a shelter. Shelter that cover us from the bright hot sunlight and rain. It also protect us from getting  hit by something.

A stationery holder is just like a drinking cup. Basically, all the things around us are inspired by natural resources or any plain object like cup, file plastic bag, trees etc. Artiste and designer has done a good job in inventing these product, making it more convenient for the people.

20 things that look like a FACE

20 things that look like a FACE

Most of the photo that I've taken and found is mostly funny faces.

Bowling ball. The place where we insert our fingers to hold/carry the ball looks like a face. Shocked expression.

A picture of the front of a car that looks like a face.

An exhibition in Nafa , an art piece that looks like a face with big round eyes

Another art piece that being showcase remind me of a face with eyes close.

Something that attracts me when i was lying down on my bed. The handle of the wardrobe with the hanger make out into a face.

Another thing that remind me of a face is the the base part of a PC.

A sign that I came across out the toilet that looks like a face. The one with yellow circle.
I found this on my sister wardrobe where the handle is the eyes and the mouth on the side like looks like an "O".
This makeup set was owned by my sister,
basically the two square above look like eyes and the rectangle is the mouth.

Scissors, if you can see, the circle is the eyes and the small gap in between the two circle looks like a mouth being stretch downwards.
A bag that I owned. New Urban Male. The diamond shape that look like eyes and the compartment is the mouth .
My house door reminds me of a face, more to funny.
This fake flower that is arranged in a manner that remind me of a face.

This is a luggage bag that I found online,  its a funny face.

Golf field

A picture taken in my house, just the mirror in the middle with the two small pots above just remind me of  a face.

Synesthesia

SYNESTHESIA

David Hockney, the Yorkshire artist, is a famous synesthete. While constructing stage sets for ballets and operas, he bases the background colours and lighting upon the colours he sees while listening to the music of the theatre piece. I find this really interesting on how things around us or things that we see being coloured differently, not the original colour.

This is picture is taken by me. I found this foam shapes alphabet in my cabinet and thought about synesthesia. These are the colours that i first thought when I looked at the alphabet. Additionally, when i say out the letter, the colours also represent the sound. For example, P, it sounds bright and sweet. So, I thought of pink. Similarly to K.

This is actually letters in music. For example, DO RE MI in letters are , B C D. The B and a small b on top is a B flat and same for the D G A. This shows the colours to the letter as well but arrange it in the colour order and letters were also not in order.

This is another picture that I took. It is a fur that i used for one of my assignment. It is very soft and light and once you touch it, you will not want to let it go. It give that addictive feeling. If i describe a taste it would be sweet and melt in the mouth. If in word, I would say Sophisticated.

Months with colours. To me, light colours is relaxing and mind free, especially December colour. Things are mostly settled down and you get to enjoy your holidays and free your mind, even though the colour is a bit dull and doesnt mean dull colours always means boring or sad.

How letters and numbers may appear to a synesthete, although it's rare
that any two synesthetes will perceive the same set of color associations.
These tests use the word green written in a a different colour of ink.  You are asked to identify the word, and ignore the colour. It was hard for me because when i first see it the purple colur as the word purple and not orange or green. I guess I already immune to it as it take me sometime to actually see it correctly.

Resource of forced connection

29 August 2013
Laptop
Laptop. It is because that now in the modern industries, mouse is less seen as the mouse itself is included in the laptop making it more convenient and will not be a hassle when you are bringing it around.

Erasable highlighters which makes it more better when you did mistake on highlighting the wrong things, you can actually erase it off.Eraser is attached at the top of the highlighter similar to mechanical pencils.

A Comb with Mirror
This definitely convenient, especially for girls. A mirror is attached to the comb. Might not have to visit the toilet for mirror.

1 September 2013

SPORK

I find this really creative on how the person that invented this but at  times you need to use the folk and spoon on different hands to be able to eat more properly and neat. Maybe this is useful for other purposes as well.

5 item of the combinations of 2 things and Lateral thinking

20 August 2013

The combinations of 2 things

Sofa that can be made into a bed. I think that this is very useful as you can use it for two purposes and it save a lot of space.

21 August 2013
Toothbrush and Tongue cleaner

a toothbrush that includes a tongue cleaner attached behind it. So, its like 2 in 1. I think that this made a alot easier as you do not have to do two things and different time but you can do it at the same time.

22 August 2013
Refrigerator with Television
A television cum a refrigerator. This very cool as you get to enjoy eating and watching your favourite tv shows at the same time in the kitchen. Even when you are cooking maybe...

23 August 2013

Shower Massager

A shower massager that can be used both massager and shower at the same time.

24 August 2013
Mechanical pencil

A mechanical pencil with a small eraser attached to it. More convenient compared to just a pencil and an eraser itself and perhaps, save cost.

25 August 2013

LATERAL THINKING
Lateral thinking is solving problems through an indirect and creative approach. Involving ideas that is not commonly used and out of the box. Not traditionally step by step logic.

Examples of Lateral thinking

-Need to iron a shirt, but no iron. How?
Use other things to iron the shirt for example, a frying pan.

                - "You cannot dig a hole in a different place by digging the same hole deeper"
This means that trying harder in the same direction may not be as useful as changing direction. Effort in the same direction (approach) will not necessarily succeed.

MIND MAPPING

Mind Mapping

13 August 2013
Advantages of mind map

Mind Mapping is a simple, practical tool for improving your creative-thinking,
planning and problem-solving abilities. Mind mapping helps you to generate more idea in less time. It allows you to represent a great amount of ideas or information in a relatively small space. It helps you to see connections among the things that may have seemed completely
separated. Mind map make things a lot more easier to remember.

Disadvantages of mind map

Mind mapping uses a lot of time to think, associations and connections between key words and ideas not readily apparent. Other information may be missed while noting down one idea. Take longer to read and review. Attention wanders easily.

It helps us to brainstorm and explore any idea , concept or problems. Allows us to easily recall information. Making it easier to organize ideas and concept.

Step for doing mind map

First, generate a topic that you are focusing on. Second, draw branches from the main topic, keep it less than 2-3 words for all so that it will be more easier to remember. Third, Make more branches off of the main topic. Try to extend thoughts from one idea to the next.

Ways of doing mind map

Mind map can be done in different ways , make it our own way. For examples, designing it to how you might want it to be and according to your interest. Adding graphic. More pictures, colors instead of words. Basically, the way that you can understand better and remember.

18 August 2013
Example of a good mind map
 https://www.google.com.sg/search?q=good+mind+map&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=aVYSUsG7N4KqrAersoGADg&ved=0CDgQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=600#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=uxDCCKJUPxflWM%3A%3BqYFgsJOfWdgCdM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fiws.collin.edu%252Fmbailey%252FTryMindMapping-PaulForeman.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fiws.collin.edu%252Fmbailey%252FResearchPresentation.htm%3B1880%3B1469

These are the mind maps that i find good because not many words, more colors, design , graphic.
Much more easier to read and understand. With the help of the drawings, making it more understandable.
